Josephine M. Mierkiewicz, nee Corrado, age 99. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Mierkiewicz for 50 years. Loving mother of Patricia, Diane (Bill) Carlson, Joseph, the late S. Richard (the late Marcia), the late Thomas and the late Marie. Proud grandmother of Lynn Mierkiewicz, Brian Mierkiewicz, Michael Carlson, Kevin (Raeanne) Carlson, Timothy Carlson, Michelle (Jeff) Rudolph, Kimberly Mierkiewicz, Kevin Mierkiewicz and the late Colleen Mierkiewicz. Great grandmother of Zachary Carlson, Natalie Carlson, Allison Rudolph and Julia Rudolph. Dear sister to her late siblings Joseph (Eleanor), Mary, John (Dorothy), Genevieve and Lena (Nelson) Mosier. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Josephine was born in Evanston in 1918 and was a resident for over fifty years. She was an employee of Washington National Insurance Company for many years until her retirement in 1979. She especially enjoyed time with her family, loved watching Dancing with the Stars and was an avid sports fan who was overjoyed to see her beloved Chicago Cubs win the World Series.
